For owner/artist Stephanie Hogan Webb, Seedling Kids is the result of a life-long love of nature, a passion for art of all kinds and the simple delight she finds in being a mom to her two daughters. A metalsmith by trade, Stephanie has been expressing her fascination with natural beauty through handcrafted jewelry for years and after the birth of her first child she began to photograph nature’s tiniest stories - from the pattern on a turtle shell to the soft glow of a summer strawberry - and share it with her very own little seedling. These photographs, many from Stephanie’s own backyard, are now featured in the Seedling Kids collection of garden-inspired children’s clothes.
At Seedling Kids, we are as passionate about preserving our planet as we are about creating one of a kind clothing for infants, toddlers and kids. Our process begins with natural cotton clothing, made from 100% certified Texas cotton, cut and sewn in Pennsylvania. Custom photographed images are then hand-printed to order in the Seedling Kids studio using only low impact, water-based inks. Any seconds or misprinted items are donated to local shelters, in an effort to serve our community and prevent any waste of materials.
Since launching a small line of inspirational clothing in 2006, Seedling Kids has blossomed, now including onesies, t-shirts, dresses and pants. The collection is available in retail locations across the country, in popular catalogs such as Chasing Fireflies and now as part of "Dreamers Into Doers" on marthastewart.com.
